Like any American, traveling now and again is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. If you want to take a vacation break, it doesn’t actually mean that you’re guaranteed with safety. When we plan a vacation break, we are too pre-occupied with what we are escaping from, like a job and all the accompanying stress, but there is always danger looming wherever we go. Today, I’m going to give you a few safety tips so that you can be assured that you’re safe on your journey.
It is most likely that you would carry a luggage with you when you journey but see to it that putting your postal address in your case is something that you would never do. Along with this baggage, there’s probably going to be a luggage tag and on this tag, you’re only going to want to put your name and phone number. This will assure you that your baggage will be given back if you happen to misplace it for that individual who wants to return it will know how to find you.
The reason why putting your full address on the tag is quite risky, is because the robber will somehow find his way to your home thinking that there are better things in there once he was able to get a hold of valuable things found in your case. Simply put your first and last name to assure your safe travel.
Let me tell you something about any important document to be carried. Your case should only include the things that even when get lost can still be easily replaceable without any hassle such as your clothes. Your valuables such as charge cards, passports, and other significant papers should never be kept in your baggage. As I mentioned in the last tip, if someone steals this, they can have access to all of your details.
Don’t be cheap: Some travelers love to show off their money and a lot of them show it off but deep down, they’re thousands in debt. If you wear some flashy costly jewelry, you’re more likely to be pursued by a thief and ending you up in a place and position where you never wanted to be. In the sense of traveling, you are just one of the travelers roaming at the airport and so no one would really care about your visual aspect thus you don’t have to be flamboyant. Just think to yourself, “How many people do you really check out for their style”?
Clean out the billfold: Before you go on your next journey, try and clean out your notecase. Most of the [travel] professionals say that it is better to leave some of your charge cards and other essential documents at home in a safe place, so that you won’t load yourself up during your trip. Carrying at least one credit card is more than sufficient. Make a note of the number that you need to contact in case the charge card you carry gets stolen so that you can call immediately to cancel out any transaction.
There are so many hints I can list when it comes to traveling and safety so it’s up to you to use your best judgment. You should remember that the most helpful hints are to avoid showing off your valuable stuffs and not be too flashy with your appearance. If you want to be hailed as the safest traveler ever existed, then you might want to consider on the tip which is to bring along with you only those things that wont hurt you much if you happen to lose them.
